The Delaware Porsche Club and Social Networking:
We will be using the Facebook social network in conjunction with our web site to provide the best information experience for our club members.  Facebook will offer club users real-time access to club notices, events, and updates while allowing all members to communicate with each other.

We have created two methods of access:
1.) We have created a general corporate page called "DelawarePCA". This is accessible from our web site. This page does not require a Facebook account and is visible to anyone. Non-Facebook account holders can view, but not comment or post, to this page. Facebook account holders can comment and post. Please click the "Like" button to have information show up in your news feed.

2.) We have also created a Facebook group called "Delaware Porsche Club". A group requires a user with a Facebook account. The advantages of a group are: Users must join the group before they can participate. Members of this group have the ability to be notified optionally by email and or text message of any changes/additions to the page. This would be very useful for event changes or "spur of the moment" activities. This page would only be visible to members of the group.

The WebMaster, chairpersons and members will keep the pages up-to-date with official info, and users are encouraged to add any information that would be of interest to our membership. Photos, ride reviews, Porsche news, etc. would be appreciated.

Remember "Delawarepca" for Facebook and non Facebook members. For Facebook users search for "Delaware Porsche Club" our Ride-N-Dine, and ask to join.

from our

President’s Message:
December 2017 from Sam Dali

The Holiday Season is upon us as evidenced by our Holiday Party last Saturday evening at Hartefeld National.  The attendance was overwhelming and a fun time was had by all at our new venue.  Members enjoyed great entrees, many door prizes and roses for all the women. A CD with “tracks for driving” were handed out, compliments of Bob and Stephanie Farris.

Recognition gifts were awarded to the following for their leadership and involvement in the Club’s events, George Pearson, Bob Bloser, John Reader, Mike Holmes and Tom Holmes.  The following women were recognized for their continuous participation and support of the club’s activities, Cathy Johnson, Christine Dali, Joan Pearson, Stephanie Farris, Paulette Clarke, Angela Crognale, Mille Acosta and Rena Kramer. A great big thank you to all of these members.

Porsche Delaware was awarded a plaque for their ongoing support of our Club at various events, including our GT and Air-cooled Club Night. They also provided most of the door prizes for the night.   A special thank you was acknowledged to Sean Johnson, General Mgr. and Brandon Rodgers, Executive Sales Consultant.

A special recognition was given to Ron Johnson, Vice President, for all his time and effort in organizing many different events from the Hudson Valley road trip, Breakfast at the Whip, the Polo Match Picnic, etc., and setting up  many of the “pop up events”.  A plaque was presented to Ron along with a “Big Porsche Crest”.  Thank you to Ron.
January 10- Club Night at Skipjack Restaurant   (No Club Night in Dec.)
Our next Club Night, Wednesday, January 10, will be held at Skipjack Dinning, located at The Shoppes at Louviers, 401 Louviers Drive, Newark, DE  19711.  Our meeting will begin at 6:00pm with dinner orders taken after 6:15pm.  Meet President Bob Farris, and all the new Club Officers, Fred Stapleford, Les Clarke and of course John Reader.  Don’t miss the first Club Night of the year.

As I conclude my last President’s Message, I want to thank all those that supported me in my efforts to make the club the best it could be. It has been my pleasure to be your President and hope the activities we provided were interesting and fun to attend.  I want to thank the Board for their support and for the plaque the Club presented to me at the Party.

Once again, I continue to thank many of those that contribute their time and effort to make the Club what it is.  I want to hand over the wheel to Bob Farris.  I know Bob will continue to drive this Club and make it an even better one than it is now.  I wish all of you a very Happy Holiday Season and a Wonderful New Year in 2018.  Till our next meeting…

See you on the road,
