Goober’s Diner & Garage Visit

PCA–Delaware gathered for a memorable evening at Goober’s Diner and Goober’s Garage, with about 30 members in attendance. The night began with a relaxed dinner filled with conversation and laughter, followed by an exclusive tour of Goober’s Garage, where members admired an impressive lineup of classic Packards, elegant Cadillacs, and several Ford GTs. There were also number of beautiful member owned Porsches parked in front of the restuarant.

Goober’s itself carries a bit of nostalgic charm — its name was inspired by Goober Pyle, the lovable mechanic from The Andy Griffith Show, whose fictional “Goober’s Garage” became a symbol of friendly, small‑town Americana. That same spirit lives on in the diner and garage today, blending vintage cars and comfort food into one uniquely Delaware experience.

It was an evening that perfectly captured the club’s passion for cars, camaraderie, and local character.

Special thanks to Goober’s Diner for hosting our group, check out the menu on their website. https://goobersdiner-de.com/
