April Meeting Recap

Meeting date: April 13, 2023

Meeting location: Two Stones Pub, Rt. 273

We had a very enjoyable meeting this month at Two Stones Pub in Newark. Spring graced us with one of the nicest days so far, so plenty of members’ cars were allowed to come out and play! This made for an impressive display of Porsches in the parking lot, which no doubt got the attention of the many patrons who were there that evening. We had a nice mixture of older and newer members coming out, with a good turnout overall.

While we often conduct some official business at our monthly meetings (e.g. announcements, discussing upcoming events, etc.), they are really about just giving folks an opportunity to get together, say hello, talk cars, and catch up. Our president (Lisa) and vice-president (Matt) were both there helping to make folks feel welcomed and to catch up with as many members as possible. By all accounts, service at Two Stones was good.

In addition to the general camaraderie, we had a pretty good informal discussion about the upcoming Porsche swap meet in Carlisle to be held on April 29th in Carlisle, PA. Long-time club member, Jon Walton, will be leading a group starting at Lantana Square in Hockessin. If interested in joining the group, or if you have questions, please RSVP to president@delawarepca.org.

We also discussed May events including the May’s monthly meeting with a guest speaker to be held in Dover and the trip to the Simeone Museum on May 21st. There are lots of fun things coming up. More information on all events will be shared shortly.

Happy Motoring!
